"Shooting in this castagneto (chestnut forest) allows me to escape the hustle and bustle of life and at the same time protects me from its incessant external stimuli, allowing me to have rare moments of tranquility and deep reflection."

Circondato da massicci seducenti si trova, in Bregaglia, un bel castagneto. Il suo fascino e la sua attrattiva sono incomparabili. «Fotografare in questo castagneto mi permette di sottrarmi alla frenesia della vita e nello stesso tempo mi protegge dalle incessanti raffiche di stimoli esterni concedendomi momenti di calma e di intima riflessione.»

Biography, Piero Rossi, 1957, works as a freelance photographer and as a psychologist. He operates a photo Studio (www.fotolux.ch) in the Canton of Aargau, and accompanies as a Mentor children and young people with mental health issues (www.piero-rossi.ch). Since 2007 Piero Rossi as a photographer focuses on the Val Bregaglia. The valley, where his grandfather grew up and to which he is connected since his childhood. His photographic work from the Bergell was shown in 2013 at the Leica gallery at Nidau, and 2014 in the Photobastei in Zurich.
